Smith Family
The Smith family of Toronto had a success story to tell. Four generations of Smiths had been involved in the family business, founded in 1843 as a repair shop for wagons and buggies and eventually becoming the highly regarded Smith Bros. Motor Bodies, manufacturer of custom vehicles.
With no more than a box of photographs and some family research, Angela Smith turned to Blakeley Words+Pictures for help in developing that story into a lavishly illustrated company history. We provided a writing framework, edited the text through several drafts, made photographic improvements, and designed the book.
As the project was intended for a very limited run, it had no traditional publisher. Blakeley Words+Pictures took on the production and organized the printing, bringing Smith Bros.: Four Generations out under our own imprint using a print-on-demand model.
